I bought this machine when my mother's old Singer finally gave out, because it was all I could afford, but I've been absolutely delighted. It works every bit as good as the (much, even though it was purchased back in the 70s!) more expensive Singer it replaced and is much more user-friendly. It's quite portable and lighter than a lot of models for taking to sewing class. Highly recommend it.
