Simplicity SHC818 Digital Quik Iron with Burst of Steam Review

Simplicity SHC818 Digital Quik Iron with Burst of SteamThis iron - or at least the one I received - has a lot of problems. It does not steam enough to get wrinkles out, the cord is too short, the auto-off turns it off while the iron is in motion ironing, and the "non-stick" sole plate drags. If anyone has a good experience, please give a review.Maybe I just got a bad one.I got a Panasonic now, based on good reviews I found on Amazon, and it's great.

Product Description:
With its LCD temperature control and display, this digital iron ensures sharp creases and a smooth surface for any type of fabric or garment. The unit's non-stick soleplate allows for ironing with a smooth friction-free glide, and its anti-drip system produces steam at low temperatures without leaking or spitting, preventing water stains on fabric. Choose from three types of steam output--continuous, burst of steam, or vertical--with the iron's adjustable steam control. Continuous steam means less time and better results; get crisp, professional creases in one simple pass. Burst of steam delivers a strong, instantaneous surge of steam for tough wrinkles or making a smooth crease extra sharp. The vertical-steaming option effortlessly removes wrinkles from hanging fabrics such as draperies, or it can be used to iron delicate fabrics without direct contact. For safety and convenience, the iron automatically shuts off if not moved within a convenient amount of time (8 minutes if left vertical; 30 seconds if tipped over or left horizontal). Even more, its anti-calcifying system keeps steam vents clear of calcium and mineral build-up, extending the life and quality of the iron. The iron measures 11 by 5-4/5 by 4-2/3 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
